CS Analysis
The Netherlands arrive with their total-soccer DNA, attacking flair and a “golden generation” of talent. LOTS of experience, but are they on the downward side in age? Always contenders for the latter stages yet this group is not a cake walk.
Most Interesting Player

Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool)
Recently, the best center-back on the planet and captain of Liverpool and the Dutch. Controls the game from the back and is dangerous on corners in the attacking end. Can Virgil bring the magic and make a run this World Cup.
Japan bring their trademark high-pressing, technical discipline and never-give-up attitude. They are one of Asia’s strongest and most organized sides, they will trap and press, and can create some magic from Kubo, the “Japanese Messi”.
Most Interesting Player

Takefusa Kubo (Real Sociedad)
“Japanese Messi” flair that fans love and the media endlessly compares to. Technical brilliance and creativity produce dynamically magical moments that Japanese and global audiences will want to see.
Sweden return with their physical, set-piece threat and solid defensive structure. They are tough opponents who punch above their weight. Not the best team in Europe they can make it hard on the best.
Most Interesting Player

Viktor Gyokeres (Arsenal)
Arsenal’s new goal machine whom Swedish fans already loved. High scoring threat and brings a big “buzz” when he touches the ball with precision finishing.
Tunisia bring defensive organization and quick transitions, with a squad full of European experience. They will try to wear you down. They are perennial African qualifiers who will try to wear you down. Tunisia could surprise any side but are considered the 4th best option in the group.
Most Interesting Player

Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane (Al-Ahly, Egypt)
Not the boxer, not Ringo Starr, but the on-ball maestro with a nose for goals. “African dark horse” narrative, someone who will surprise this tournament who plays for a club in Africa. Known for attacking runs that create dynamic midfield action.
In Summary
Netherlands bring a complete team, fluidity and attacking flair. Ronald Koeman, the Dutch manager, stands above the others in the group and may have the top 2-3 players as well. The known star power sits with the Dutch, and the question is what newcomer from any side may join the superstar level. This group will be a clash of styles. Japan’s high-pressing, technical precision and work rate, Sweden’s tall, direct physicality, and Tunisia’s disciplined, counter-attacking African resolve. When Tunisia-Sweden play, the game will be a test of African organization against Nordic structure. The teams that advance will need to play an adaptable style, expect halftime adjustments to be key for each side.
