2022/23 Finish - 1st in The Championship - Promoted to PL

A medium sized club who return to the PL for the 8th time in 10 seasons after a dominating 1st place finish in the Championship. Rookie Manager Vincent Kompany is a hot commodity, reportedly not exploring potential large club opportunities to stay with Burnley. The goal this season is to avoid relegation, and position for another long run in the PL.

Ownership

VSP is the sports investment arm of American firm ALK Capital. ALK, with Alan Pace as Chairman, owns an 84% stake of Burnley. Purchased for $200M in 2020, ALK borrowed $120M to complete the sale. Alan Pace previously ran Real Salt Lake of MLS, after a career in finance and sports management. In May 2023 JJ and Kealia Watt became new minority investors and will play a role in promoting the club.
