Spygate & Championship Title Match

• It is confirmed Southampton manager Tonda Eckert AUTHORIZED the spying, it was a “contrived and determined plan from the top down to gain a competitive advantage”.

• Southampton had appealed the decision, but that appeal was tossed out, so they are removed from the title game and Middlesbrough is in.

• Hull City, who had been preparing to play Southampton now have to change their preparation to play Middlesbrough.

• Wrexham is asking questions about why they would not be allowed to enter the playoff since they were the team left one spot out.

The Premier League has teams in the top 3 tournaments across Europe, Champions (Arsenal), Europa (Aston Villa), and UEFA Conference (Crystal Palace).

It was all Villa leading 2-0 at HT and getting an early 2H goal and coast to the win.

By winning the PL last week that allows Arsenal to rest and prepare for the final. PSG’s title has already been secured and they have been resting and preparing. Should be a great final!

Winner to the Europa League next season. Since Palace are outside the top 10 in the PL table this would add another team to Europe for the PL next season.

✋ David Moyes

Moyes is a very accomplished, successful manager in the PL who may not be on the level of Pep or Klopp, but the Scottish national has won some big cups and taken “non big 6” sides beyond their expectations. In addition, Moyes was awarded the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, awarded by the King or Queen to a British national who demonstrates significant achievement for the United Kingdom.

Moyses managerial career started in 1998. Moyes successfully managed Everton from 2002-2013. After stints at Man United and Real Sociedad Moyes managed West Ham from 2017-2024, won the UEFA Conference in 2023 and left the club in the middle of 2024. He then returned to Everton in the middle of the 2025 season and has managed them this season and challenged for Europe.

That history makes this weekend very interesting as Moyes will lead Everton into Tottenham Hotspur. A Win by Everton could help his former West Ham side avoid relegation. You can be sure West Ham fans are rooting for their former manager.

🕕 Stan Kroenke

What a run for the owner of Arsenal.

Stan can be polarizing. The Rams relocation to LA? Bad TV deals in Denver? When he fired 55 employees after an FA Cup win and Arsenal fans went crazy? Often there has been animosity towards Americans in English Soccer Clubs. Much due to the lack of connection and commitment to the club or their fans. Too much business, not enough passion. That being said, it’s been quite a run for Stan, winning the NBA, NFL, & NHL titles with the Nuggets (23), Rams (22) and Avalanche (20). AND NOW ARSENAL (26).

Stan also owns SoFi Stadium which has hosted the Super Bowl, the College Football National Championship, has several World Cup matches this summer including for the USMNT, and will be the location of the 2028 Olympics opening and closing ceremonies.
