EPL Match Week 33 Preview
The azaleas are in full bloom, the pines whisper secrets, and the echoes of champions past resonate through the Georgia pines. And while the Champions League continues to provide awe inspiring soccer on Paramount+, it’s CBS that has been your window to nearly seven decades of golf’s masterpiece. As we celebrate the 88th edition of the Masters, we do so with reverence, with anticipation, and with a sense of history that transcends mere sport. From Amen Corner to Rae’s Creek, from the Hogan Bridge to Butler Cabin, every blade of grass tells a story. And this week, those stories will unfold before our eyes.

Headlines 📌
Pencil It In. Newcastle v Tottenham +125 630am Sat - Great match to wake up early to on a Saturday morning. Big match with European implications as Spurs moved over Villa and into a CL spot last week. Newcastle is right in the middle of a battle for a Europe spot as well, but injuries are starting to take a toll. Last year Spurs trip to St James’ Park was over in the first 20 minutes when the Magpies jumped out to a 5-0 lead on the way to a 6-1 win. On paper this one could see a lot of goals as both sides sit top 4 in total goals per match, Newcastle first with 117 and Spurs fourth with 110.
6.3.1. Weekend. 6 Saturday, 3 Sunday, 1 Monday.
Points Deductions. Sheffield United will be deducted 2 points the next time they play in the Championship because they defaulted on payments to other team’s last season.
What 2 Look 4 👀- Match Week 33
Title Race Impact 🏇🏿🏇🏿🏇🏿
Arsenal v Villa +1000 Sun - When Villa is on, they can beat anybody, but the Gunners are different this year and have been pretty much on lock down.
Liverpool v Palace +750 Sun - Liverpool is struggling, a lackluster performance in the Northwest Derby and then a no show at home during the Europa League. Are they drifting or was that just one let down.
Man City v Luton Town +1100 Sat - The Hatter’s last win at City, 1983. Two things you might look to as a LT fan, you have scored in 18 of 19 matches and City could be in a letdown spot as City have their second leg of the Champions League with Real Madrid next week. Don’t expect Pep to let City stumble.
Race For Europe🏎️🏎️🏎️🏎️🏎️🏎️🏎️
Newcastle v Tottenham +125 Sat - See Above.
Arsenal v Villa +900 Sun - See Above.
Bournemouth v Man United +170 Sat - When was the last time Man United was an underdog to The Cherries. That says all you need to know as these sides will square off at Vitality Stadium and United need points to have a shot at Europe.
West Ham v Fulham +180 Sun - The Hammers are 7W 3D in their last 10 home to FFC. FFC have struggled over their last 3 and on the road in general.
Chelsea v Everton +340 Mon - Everton got a much-needed win over Burnley but it was not impressive. Chelsea have gotten points in their last 7 matches, but 4D and 3W will not get them into Europe. Will the Blues be able to break down a stout Everton side or is this headed to a 0-0/1-0 result. Everton won the first match 2-0 earlier this year.
Burnley v BHA +100 Sat - Can the Clarets keep all 11 on the field and eliminate the mistakes that are costing them 3 points? BHA have scored only 4 goals in their last 8 matches in all competitions.
Forest v Wolves +220 Sat - Wolves were firing on all cylinders until injuries really limited their options and some questionable refereeing decisions seem to cost them some points. It’s been 3 matches without a win, the longest streak for Wolves this season. Forest need points and City Ground will be ready to help the Tree’s get their second home win in a row.
Race to Avoid Relegation🌋🌋🌋🌋🌋🌋
Liverpool v Palace +1100 Sat - See Above.
Chelsea v Everton +340 Mon - See Above.
Forest v Wolves +220 Sat - See Above.
Man City v Luton Town +1100 Sat - See Above.
Burnley v BHA +100 Sat - See Above.
Brentford v Sheffield United +600 Sat - The Bee’s have 1 win in their last 12 and 4 draws in their last 6. The Blades have 3 draws in their last 4. Brentford still need points and playing the last place team at home is where they should get them, but it seems SU will make this one tight.

Off Island 🏝️
A tough run for the PL mid-week.
The Champions League had 4 great Leg 1’s, tight matches and high scoring.
All Leg 2 matches will favor the home teams. Odds for each team to ADVANCE to semi-finals are included.
City -300 (England) return home 3-3 against Real Madrid +225 (Spain). Wednesday 4/17
3 goals at the Bernabeu give City the upper hand heading back home.
Bayern Munich -106 (Germany) return home 2-2 against Arsenal -125 (England). Wednesday 4/17
Harry Kane (Bayern) taking out a little North London Derby anger against his former archrivals - contact sport.
Barcelona -450 (Spain) return home up 3-2 against PSG +300 (France). Tuesday 4/16
Barca are 8 points behind Real Madrid in La Liga and their manager Xavi announced he is stepping down at the end of the season. Since then - they haven’t lost in 12 straight. Plays like this will win you games, even against France’s top side.
Dortmund +175 (Germany) return home down 1-2 against Atletico Madrid -250 (Spain). Tuesday 4/16
A late goal by Dortmund gives them a chance at home but turnovers like this and this could cost them the semi-finals.
Shocking Liverpool defeat at Anfield, a very surprising result.
West Ham played a very defensive game and fell at Leverkusen.
Roma got a great win at AC Milan.

|
Villa won at home but have work to do to advance.
All 8 teams have a great chance to advance.

Match Week 33 - Winners Only Please
City to Win v Luton Town -526. $315
City to Win v Luton Town both teams to score -105. $21
This is City’s time of year, and while Luton Town have scored in 18 of 19 matches, I don’t see them going into the Etihad and taking points from City in a title race. So will lay the lumber, which I normally don’t like to do.
West Ham to Win v Fulham +135. $20
West Ham went into Leverkusen trying to play conservatively, but they should open things up a bit more against Fulham. I will take positive odds and the Hammers at home even tho this is the kind of match Fulham seems to show up in.
Bournemouth to Win v Man United +145. $20
So, the Cherries are favored over United. Seems like the people setting the lines want you to take MU. I’m not falling for it. Give me the Cherries!
Arsenal to WIN v Villa -227. $90
Again, laying some lumber on a home team title contender. I expect the Gunners to limit Villa’s chances and the home crowd to get them the winner.
Sheffield United to Draw at Brentford +410. $10
Sheffield United to Win at Brentford +580. $10
The Blades have been in games and the Bee’s seem to play to their competition. Will split my usual $20 bet into a W or D.
Tottenham to Win at Newcastle +132. $20
Newcastle has too many injuries to keep up with Spurs, even at St James’ Park, and Spurs will have one of their multi-goal 10-minute stretches that makes the difference.
Longshot of the Week. City, Liverpool, Spurs, West Ham, Arsenal all to Win +877. $10
