Best Result of Match Week 2. 3-1 Arsenal over Man U. This could also be titled “A Game of Inches”. The story in 3 parts - we pick it up tied 1-1 at the 88th min:
Man United scores! But wait, off-side? Here is a breakdown (3 min read with pics).
And of course - 7 min later in extra time - this happens.
And then - this awesome goal at the 100th min.
Biggest Disappointment. Chelsea. 0-1 losers at home to Forest. What is going on with Chelsea? $500M+ spend and can’t win.
First Clean Sheet. Matt Turner of the USMNT got his first clean sheet for Forest in their 1-0 win at Chelsea, and he earned it (15s watch).
Save of the season? Last week we said the save of the season was by Sa of Wolves, was this Pickford save for Everton better? in extra time to preserve the draw and the point.
A Hat Trick of Hat Tricks. Erling Haaland of Man City, Heung-min Son of Tottenham, and Evan Ferguson of BHA all with a hat trick.
There have been 192 hat tricks in the PL since 1992.
1 time have there been 3 on the same day, September 23, 1995.
Sergio Aguero has the most with 12
Liverpool have the most as a team with 42.

Winless. 5 teams have yet to win. Bournemouth, Sheffield United, Everton, Luton Town, Burnley.
Transfer Window Grades. Good insight (3 min read) from Joe Prince-Wright on who won and loss during the transfer window. In summary,
Not Good: Luton Town, Sheffield United, Bournemouth, Burnley, Palace, Wolves, Everton.
Average: Liverpool, Man United, Newcastle, BHA, Fulham, Brentford.
Great: Arsenal, Man City, Villa, Chelsea, Forest, Tottenham, West Ham.
Current Situation 📈📉
It’s 5 O’ Clock Somewhere (4min watch) - yep, that’s the current situation. Pour me something tall and strong, Make it a hurricane before I go insane.
Rising. West Ham, Liverpool, Tottenham.
Changes In Latitudes, Changes In Attitudes. Song (3 min) Oh, yesterdays are over my shoulder, So I can't look back for too long. There's just too much to see waiting in front of me, and I know that I just can't go wrong. These teams need to look ahead and change things up: Chelsea, Newcastle, Burnley, Luton Town.

Far Side of the World. Click here for the story of the song (7min)
From Paris to Tunisia…..I’m heading out this morning, For the Far Side of the World.
Also known as International Break.
We have talked about other leagues and competitions across Europe. Now, across (most of) the world, those leagues take a “break” for players to join their countries teams. Not every player makes their countries teams, so for them they get a break. This is also a time for teams to regroup, take a breath and prepare for week 5 matches.
For players on the English National Team or even other European teams, it's not a big inconvenience. For those from off the continent, it can be a major inconvenience. Here’s an example.
In 2022, Christian Pulisic was playing for Chelsea and then the USMNT, here was his schedule.
3/13 Chelsea hosted Newcastle in the EPL in London
3/16 Chelsea traveled to Lille France for the Champions League match to advance in that tournament winning 2-1
3/19 Chelsea played Middlesboro in the FA Cup
3/24 Traveled to Mexico, USA played in Mexico City
3/27 Traveled to Orlando, USA played Panama
3/30 Traveled to Rica San Jose, USA played Costa Rica
4/2 Traveled back to London, Chelsea hosts Brentford in EPL
4/6 Stay in London as Chelsea hosts Real Madrid in Elite 8 of Champions League
Close to 15,000 miles traveled and 8 matches in 3 weeks.
Liverpool has 15 players leaving for break, the the far side of the world - S America, N America, Asia…..Here’s a good example of what the players, clubs and fans go through…”just come back in one piece lads”.

Margaritaville - But there's booze in the blender, And soon it will render, That frozen concoction that helps me hang on. (4 min live version from 1978)
Need a couple 3 or 4 of these after two last second goals, one by Wolves and one by Luton Town cost CS a big day at the window.
