Check out Monday’s Czabecast for a WC Rundown with CS.
Player of the day - Vozinha, Cape Verde goalkeeper, GREAT performance. The oldest player (40yo) to ever keep a Clean Sheet in the WC. and his social media following went from under 50k to over 4M.
Game of the day - New Zealand 2-2 Iran. Back and forth break away action. Two leads for NZ overcome by Iran.
Story of the day - 4 Draws. Groups G and H are wide open and Belgium and Spain are kind of let off the hook as they will be big favorites in tehri remaining games.
Goal of the day - Romelu Lukaku is a goal scoring legend for Belgium, is at the end of his career, played very little during the season at Serie A Napoli, yet came on in the 2H and scored within 22 seconds to tie the match.
Tunisia lost 1-5 to Sweden late Sunday night, Monday they fired (or sacked as they say in the UK) their manager Sabri Lamouchi. It just means more ;)
Chris Wood has been great for Nottingham Forest in the English Premier League, and that has transferred to New Zealand. He just get’s it. Difference maker. Leader.
Another great 4 environments.
Tuesday - France & Argentina start their world cups, Erling Haaland, Messi, Mbappe. Should be another day of great matches.

Group I Teams in a Sentence
“GROUP OF DEATH”
France - Talent, Storylines, Going for 3rd straight Finals.
Senegal - Tested, will pressure and counter.
Iraq - Disciplined, organized, probably 4th in group.
Norway - Direct, physical, more than Haaland.
For more on each team - see the CS GROUP I Simple Guide.

In Summary
This group must see TV. France, Norway and Senegal could all make a case for at least the quarterfinals. Add to that Senegal’s French influence dating back to the 1400’s, Norway’s two star forwards, one who plays for Man City and the other rival Arsenal, Senegal’s EPL players, France’s PSG players and an Iraqi side who has players who mostly play in the Middle East and will be significant underdogs. France’s superstar quality versus Senegal’s collective speed and Norway’s clinical finishing, will be a fun watch. France vs. Norway—Mbappe vs. Haaland. Senegal v Iraq - will be physical. Lots of stars, history and goals.
Group J Teams in a Sentence
Argentina - Defend champs, Messi, but…are they as good as last time.
Algeria - Experienced, emerging stars, midfield will dictate tempo.
Austria - Structured, high-pressing, organized.
Jordan - Underdogs, any points would be a win.
For more on each team - see the CS GROUP J Simple Guide.

In Summary
Argentina (still guided by Lionel Scaloni, with 39-year-old Lionel Messi potentially in his final dance) bring world-class creativity and fight, facing Algeria’s passionate, technical African flair, Austria’s structured, high-pressing European organization, and Jordan’s disciplined underdog spirit. Argentina is the defending champs, but Messi is 39 and there is a lot of untested talent. Scaloni is the group’s best manager by pedigree, and will need to bring the team together. This group is a 3-team race and any of the “A” teams could win this group. Expect all three to advance. Argentina’s experience versus Algeria’s raw energy and Austria’s tactical discipline, should be a fun group to watch.
