Sacked - Part 2 - First Enzo now Ruben
![]() Ruben Amorim is out as Man United Manager, a surprise, kind of after 14 months. The EPL manager of the month for October is now out of the EPL. ![]() | Amorim left a great gig at Sporting in Lisbon, a side he had dominating in the league and champions league. Behind the scenes it seems this sacking would be the outcome after United’s loss to Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup. While United sit 6th in the table, this is United. And while Amorim is good in front of the press it is being said behind the scenes that is all he is good at. Tactics were also an issue. He brought in a 3-4-3 formation and was not going to change it to fit the players. Recently, United tried to persuade Bournemouth striker Semenyo to join the club by telling him he would play left wing. But, that would require a different formation than a 3-4-3 lineup. Iin the end, there was a manager, player, ownership disconnect, and that rarely turns out well for the manager. Regardless of the new manager, unless the ownership and operating structure changes at United it’s not going to matter who the manager is. |
Don’t blame de Ligt.

What 2 Look 4 👀- Match Week 21
1.8.1 Match Week. 1 Tuesday, 8 Wednesday, 1 Thursday.
Tuesday
18 West Ham +150 v 17 Forest +184 TUE 2p - Oof, which side is struggling more. Hammers winless in 9 matches, Trees have 3 wins in their last 9 but have lost their last 4 and have only scored 2 goals. Hammers pounded Forest earlier this season at Forest 3-0 and interestingly it was current Hammer manager Nuno who took the loss as that was his last match at Forest.
Wednesday
2 City -256 v 10 BHA +606 WED 130p - BHA beat City earlier at the Amex 2-1. City have stumbled, a little, with back to back draws. For BHA to get points they will need to step up their road scoring.
15 Bournemouth +110 v 13 Tottenham +229 WED 130p - 1-0 to the Cherries at Hotspur stadium the first time these sides played this year. Antoine Semenyo has scored for Bournemouth in both their wins this last year. Will he play is the question, he is rumored to be heading to Man City.
12 Everton -129 v 20 Wolves +385 WED 130p - Everton won 3-2 at the Molineaux earlier this year. Wolves are playing their best soccer of the season, but that is not saying much.
14 Palace +204 v 3 Villa +135 WED 130p - Palace won at Villa Park to start the season earlier this year 3-0. Things have changed, Villa are flying high and Palace are grounded.
11 Fulham +235 v 5 Chelsea +111 WED 130p - WEST LONDON DERBY - The Blues beat the Cottagers at Stamford Bridge earlier this season 2-0. Fulham keeping finding points, that’s 3W 2D 1L in their last 6. Chelsea got a great point at City with an interim manager. Can they take down their neighbor on the road this week.
7 Brentford -119 v 8 Sunderland +336 WED 130p - Sunderland took this one 2-1 at the Stadium of Light. The Bee’s have 10 goals in their last 4, one of those four they scored 0. When the Bee’s score, they score multiple goals. Sunderland have drawn their last 4 matches including two 0-0.
19 Burnley +370 v 6 Man United -141 WED 215p - Rueben Amorim out, how will that impact United? Earlier this year United won 3-2 at Old Trafford. The Clarets just seem short, missing that quality to finish around the net.
9 Newcastle -147 v 16 Leeds +400 WED 215p - Goal-less draw earlier this year. The last 3 matches have ended in draws. Leed’s have not won at St James’ Park since 2001. Leeds are playing their best soccer of the season. Newcastle are stacking points but have yet to hit their stride.
Thursday
1 Arsenal -170 v 4 Liverpool +428 THUR 2p - Back when the Reds were off to a HOT start, they beat Arsenal 1-0 at Anfield. Things have shifted and Liverpool are wandering while the Gunners are focused.

NFL Playoffs Set
Some good US Football coming up over the next 5 weeks - but the playoffs mean fewer games. Might as well add more EPL matches to scratch your sports watching itch.
Seattle in the NFC, Denver in the AFC will have a bye and will host the lowest seeds who win.

CS Super Bowl Prediction. Texans v LA Rams.
