Jump Start 🐇🐇🐇🐇
![]() | Not Smooth Sailing. A 1’ goal by Foden put City and up early, then a second by Gvardiol at 25’ seemed to put MC in cruise control. BUT Leeds switched the game in their favor scoring at 49’ and again at 68’ and City were spinning their wheels in the Etihad. It was Phil Foden’s second goal (called a Brace) of the match at 90+1’ gave City all three points. |
![]() 📽️ See CS Video Links Below 🧨 | Trouble In Spursland. FFC with a FAST start scoring at 4’ and 6’ and Spurs were behind it AGAIN at Hotspur Stadium. Spurs scored early in the 2H and had many chances but FFC held one and this is another tough home loss for Thomas Frank and Spurs. Spurs fans booed the team and after the match Thomas Frank said - “When you play a match at home, it is not helpful” and “They can’t be true Tottenham fans”. Gonna need some wins to change the vibe. |
![]() 📽️ See CS Video Links Below 🧨 | Stadium of Light. The Bee’s jumped out early scoring at 7’ and 15’ but a penalty kick for Sunderland before the half got them back in the match and then it was all Black Cats who scored right out of the half and again at 69’ to complete the comeback. |
![]() | Blitzed. Newcastle scored at 1’, two more before half and it took all the energy out of Hill-Dickinson Stadium to steamroll Everton. Newcastle’s 4 goals were a surprise on the road after having just 13 goals in 12 matches on the season. Tough result for Everton coming off their big win at Man United with 10 men the previous weekend. |
Red Cards 🟥🟥
![]() 🟥 = Red Card Impacted the Match | Points Missed. Typically, you want to win all the home games, win as many as you can on the road and at least take points on the road. But, after Chelsea took a clear Red Card at 38’ Gunners were looking for 3 on the road and the Blues were fighting for a point. Yet is was Chelsea on the board right out of the half. Arsenal got on the board at 59’ and the points were shared. Chelsea will be feeling better after this one and they stay withing range of the top of the table. |
![]() 🟥 = Red Card Impacted the Match | Win’s a Win. Liverpool sat Mo Salah and started Alexander Isak up front. Isak scored his first goal for Liverpool, and the Reds got the win despite looking very unimpressive. The match was still 0-1 when West Ham took a Red Card at 84’ and then Gakpo sealed the win at 90+2’. |
Closer Than the Score Suggests 🤏🤏
![]() | 11 Minutes. An even match sitting at 0-0 at 80’ turned into a sprint to the finish. The Bee’s scored on a penalty kick at 81’ and Burnley answered with their own at 85’. Bee’s then scored at 86’ and 90+2’ to pull away. |
![]() | Gotta Score. Tree’s had great chances, outshot BHA, and had a 9 to 2 advantage on corners. Yet to win you gotta score, and that is what BHA did to end the 1H and again the 2H to take all three points. |
![]() | TBD. Great effort by Wolves who had great chances yet couldn’t convert. Villa started to get the chances in the 2H and did convert at 67’ and then held on for the win. |
Double Touch 🤲
![]() 📽️ See CS Video Links Below 🧨 | 2H Control. Palace missed a Penalty Kick on a double touch in the 1H but converted on a second to take a 1-0 HT lead but it was United with a better 2H scoring at 54’ and 63’ to take a very solid three points against a good Palace side, at Selhurst Park. Disappointing for Palace and a much needed 2H for United to reward them for playing better. |

What 2 Look 4 👀- Match Week 14
3.6.1 MID Week. 3 Tuesday, 6 Wednesday, 1 Thursday.

5 close in table matchups, 5 not.
Tuesday
15 Fulham +393 v 2 City -152 TUE 130p - Typically this is a spot City would roll, but Craven Cottage has been good to the Cottagers. City has dominated this matchup and are favored as you would expect.
11 Bournemouth +113 v 14 Everton +256 TUE 1130a - Two sides trying to get a footing, both coming off a tough weekend loss. Each side has lost 3 of their last 6. This is a quick turnaround for two sides that may not have the depth.
13 Newcastle +113 v 12 Tottenham +256 TUE 215p - Two sides who are tough to figure out. Both have talent, both have underperformed. A slow start to goal scoring for Newcastle has turned around scoring in their last 13 matches. Spurs got off to a hot start but have cooled losing 4 of their last 6 and giving up a lot of goals. Will be a tough trip to the north for Spurs who will need to keep Newcastle off the score sheet.
Wednesday
1 Arsenal -287 v 10 Brentford +794 WED 130p LONDON DERBY (North v West) - Another Derby for the Gunners. Bee’s have been sneaky good with Tiago second in the league with 11 goals on the season. Gunner’s have started to give up some goals, 4 in their last 3 PL matches after giving up just 3 in the previous 9. Arsenal definitely have the depth advantage on this quick turnaround.
20 Wolves +228 v 16 Forest +124 WED 130p - Points are a must for Wolves. Just 7 goals on the season will make that tough. Felt like Forest had turned a corner under Dyche but a 0-2 loss to BHA at home makes you wonder.
19 Burnley +363 v 9 Palace -131 WED 130p - Must win for the Clarets? Still too early in the season for that but Burnley must start taking points from sides not in the bottom of the table, and they need to keep their form going at Turf Moor. Palace have been solid and consistent on the season, relying on their defense - just 11 goals allowed - and scoring just enough to have just 3 losses in 13 matches.
5 BHA +116 v 4 Villa +234 WED 130p - Both sides playing their best of the season. Should be an evenly contested match on the South Coast.
18 Leeds +340 v 3 Chelsea -132 WED 125p - Great 10-man point for Chelsea last weekend but can they back it up on the road. Leeds have been much better at home but regardless of location the Whites have lost 6 of 7, 4 in a row. If the Blues are going to challenge for the title they need three points in road games against the bottom of the table.
8 Liverpool -284 v 6 Sunderland +719 WED 215p - Seems like it doesn’t matter who the Reds are playing, they just aren’t playing well. While Sunderland have been great at home they have actually been ok on the road too. When will Liverpool find the mojo again.
Thursday
7 Man United -236 v 17 West Ham +556 THUR 2p - This is the kind of game where Ruben Amorim needs a dominating performance. At home, against an inferior opponent. Yet it’s the kind of game United have struggled with the last couple years. West Ham have been better under Nuno, but not that much better.

CS Commentary - NCAA CFB Playoff
12 teams will make the playoffs for the NCAA D1 Football Championship.
Ole Miss has earned their way in, yet their coach, Lane Kiffin decided he would leave as the head coach for “greener pastures” to LSU. Is it just about the money"? Probably. Is it about wanting to be wanted? Probably. Is it par for the course for Lane Kiffin? Yes. Is NCAA Football “broken”? Yes.
Like many things, this is all about money. It’s about ESPN/ABC/FOX tv contracts. It’s Jimmy Sexton, the CAA Agent who represents both coaches and TV talent. It’s about pay for play, not NIL.
It’s time for a governing body and a new structure for NCAA Football.
Here are the current projections.

Copa Libertadores - Flamengo
Think of an annual CLUB (not national team) soccer tournament that is CROSS CONTINENT. In South America that tournament is called Copa Libertadores. This last weekend Flamengo (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) defeated Palmeiras (Sao Paolo, Brazil) 1-0. That is Brazil’s 7th title in a row - 3 for Flamengo, 2 for Palmeiras, and 1 each for Fluminense and Botafogo. The last team to win from outside of Brazil was River Plate, Argentina.
Brazil now have 25 Copa Libertadores Titles and 20 Runners UP.
Argentina have 25 Titles and 13 Runners Up.
Uruguay has 8 and 8.

Match Week 14 Picks
Overs
Fulham v City over 2.5 goals -143. $29
Expect this one to be tight but just can’t see City score less than 1, expecting a 2-1 or 3-0 game.
Villa v BHA over 2.5 goals -123. $25
Both sides playing great and while Villa has been solid defensively, BHA scores at home. Expect both sides to score so will take one side to get to 2 or more.
Bournemouth v Everton over 2.5 goals -105. $21
The Cherries have been scoring goals, just not winning. Everton has been good defensively and expect them to bounce back from the 4 goals allowed over the weekend.
Chelsea v Leeds over 3.5 goals +196. $20
Feels like Elland Road will be rocking, Leeds will score and Chelsea will answer.
Winners
Man United to Win v West Ham -224. $45
This is the week United depth stands out and they put another solid performance out there. Also, just don’t see West Ham bringing the quality they need to win at Old Trafford.
Arsenal to Win v Brentford via CS +105. $20
Gunners get back to their CS ways and find a way to keep Thiago off the score sheet.
Sunderland to Win at Liverpool +719. $10
Taking the big odds as Sunderland are playing better than Liverpool.
Longshots of the week
Sunderland, Burnley to Win +3200. $1
Arsenal, United, Newcastle to Win +228. $10
Haaland (City) to score -139. $28
