![]() | North London Is RED. Statement made by Arsenal that they are planning to run to the title taking down their rival soundly at home. Trossard got the Gunners on the board at 36’, then it was Eze with a HAT TRICK scoring at 41’, 46’ and 76’. Richarlison scored a great goal from midfield but it was too little too late for Spurs who continue to fall back down the table after a short time near the top. |
![]() | Shocker. Looks like Dyche used the break well, getting a dominating performance from Forest AT Anfield while Slott did not use the break well taking another step back with an extremely talented roster. But, as they say, that is why you play the game, and at the moment it looks like Dyche will have Forest out of relegation and in the top 10 by Christmas. Goals for Forest at 33’, 46’ and 78’ backed up a statistically dominating performance. |
![]() | “The North is hard and cold, but it’s the only place worth fighting for” (s/o GoT fans). City had been rolling and Newcastle struggling to score, so of course a Saturday Night matchup at St James’ Park turned into an inspired Geordie performance. A 0-0 HT effort turned into a NU lead on a Harvey Barnes goal at 63’. City countered quickly at 68’ but it was Barnes saying “not so fast my friend” immediately turning it around at 70’. All scoring in 12 minutes. |
Bloom over Benham 🌷🌷
![]() 📽️ See CS Video Links Below 🧨🧨 | Save, for the Win. Bee’s buzzed early on as Thiago converted on a PK at 29’ and it was 1-0 Brentford at HT. BHA looked like the better side throughout, but it took until the 71’ for them to score on a Welbeck goal. At 84’ sub-Jack Hinshelwood, who missed the last 7 BHA matches due to injury, found the net. Late in stoppage time it looked like Brentford was going to steal a point when Kevin Schade was taken down in the box BUT Thiago saw his second PK saved by Bart Verbruggen. |
Relegation Shake Up 🪇🪇🪇🪇
![]() | Deserved. A deluge in West London saw a 0-0 match, controlled by the Cottagers, head into the 84’ when Raul Jimenez found the net to give the deserved 3 points to FFC. Sunderland’s road woes continued. FFC sit close to relegation but their goal difference suggests they will climb the table. Sunderland sit in the top 10 but their road play is going to need to improve if they want to challenge for a top 10, or even stay above relegation. |
![]() | A Point Matters. This match was ALL Bournemouth. 28 shots to 5. 65% to 35% possession. 54 crosses to 6. BUT, it was Callum Wilson of the Hammers scoring 2 1H goals to take the lead. The Cherries did what they seem to do, find the net late scoring at 69’ and again at 81’ and then attaching the box for the final 15 minutes but to no avail. The point takes the Hammers out of the bottom three and a nice response by the boys for new manager Nuno. |
![]() 📽️ See CS Video Links Below 🧨 | Missed It By That Much. Leeds took a quick lead on a Nmecha goal at 8’ and played a very even match with Villa. Each side had 14 shots and 50% possession. But it was Villa with two 2H goals. The Whites thought they had tied it late but after a VAR review there was a clear hand ball redirection on the goal and Leeds now sit in the bottom three. |
![]() | Solid. Nice tight match for the Blues. Neto netted at 37’ to give Chelsea a 1-0 HT lead. Enzo Fernandez took the late drama away scoring at 88’. Burnley kept it tight, again, but Chelsea played with a cohesive defense and kept the Clarets out of the net at Turf Moor. |
![]() | Yikes. Wolves struggles continue. They just do not have the talent and it seems like ownership has thrown in the towel on the season. They’ve sold their best players, pocketed the money and show no signs of trying to make a run at staying up this season. YET, there is a long way to go. For Palace, you wondered if they were going to score or if 0-0 was in play. Munoz answered that question at 63’ with a goal and Pino put it away at 69’. |

![]() 🟥 = Red Card Impacted the Match 📽️ See CS Video Links Below 🧨 | Friendly Fire. Everton was looked good at Old Trafford but at 12’ Everton’s Gana got in an argument with his TEAMMATE, Keane, and then slapped him in the face In the Face”. Referee correctly called an immediate red card and Everton went into defensive mode. What is going on with David Moyse’s locker room? ![]() And so of course, Man United went on to dominate 10-man Evert…hold on, after the red card Everton controlled the play and scored at 30’ and the pressure was on United, who couldn’t score. GREAT WIN for Everton. |

Shoutout Salt Lake Spurs. Despite the dismal effort from Spurs in the North London Derby, Spurs fans know how to “socialize”. CS reader on record in attendance - “Nice folks. Shit game.”

CS Table - Crystal Ball
We are 12 games, over 30% of the way through the season, and while there is an entire transfer window coming in January (and probably a couple sackings) we are starting to learn some things.
The Table is TIGHT!
Just 5 points separate 2nd and 11th, 23 points and 18.
There are 8 teams sitting 4th thru 11th separated by 3 points, 1 win, 21 points to 18 points.
12th place has 16 points, just 5 points above the relegation zone.
Right now, it seems first place and twentieth place are comfortably in that position, Arsenal and Wolves.
🔮🔮🔮 How will the rest of the season play out 🔮🔮🔮
Title
This will be the year Arsenal Lift the Trophy under Arteta!
In 2022/23 Arsenal led the Table for a record 248 days, led by 8 points in April, but by May 3 had lost the lead to City and could not regain the lead. Over their final 9 matches Arsenal went DDDLWWLLW. Not good enough, and “gifted” City another title.
Mikel Arteta has been with the Gunners for 5"+ years and finished second 3 times.
Don’t rule out City. Liverpool have the talent but will not put it together soon enough, Chelsea will not be consistent enough, and Villa do not have the depth to overcome their slow start to the season.
Relegation
Typically, clubs need to get to 40 points to stay up, although many have stayed up with mid-30 points.
Wolves are going down.
2 of these 3 clubs will go down - Leeds, Burnley and Fulham. have the most work to do if they’d like to stay up.
The club that will be in the conversation late in the season will be Fulham, can Leeds or Burnley chase them down.
Expect West Ham, Forest, Newcastle, Everton, Brentford and Sunderland all to have enough points at home to keep them safely above relegation.
Teams sitting in the top 10 30% of the way through the season are not safe. In 2022/23 Leicester City was sitting around 13th place in February, at 22 matches played. By late April, they found themselves in 19th place. This one came down to the last day of the season and while LCFC won, so did Everton who finished ahead of LCFC, and the Foxes were relegate.
European Spots
Looks like the Premier League will have AT LEAST 5 Champions League teams, 1 Europa and 1 UEFA Conference League team next season.
Here are the 7 teams in Europe next year.
Arsenal, City, Chelsea, Villa, Man United, Liverpool, and Everton.
Tottenham, Palace, and Newcastle will challenge if any of those team’s suffer injuries/issues.
Bournemouth, BHA and Sunderland will fade.
