CS Match of the Week. Chelsea 4-2 BHA.
Action. This match would’ve been CS match of the week just for the 1H, in fact, you could say it was. BHA kicked things off at 7’ when Rutter connected to take a 1-0 lead. The play went back and forth with chances for both sides - and then “Cold” Palmer went off, 3 goals in 10 minutes. BHA got one right back when Beleba connected but Palmer said “hold my beer” netting his record setting FOURTH 1H goal and a 4-2 HT lead for the Blues. That was it for the scoring.
Cole “Cold” Palmer. Scored a 1H hat trick in ten minutes, at 21’, 28’ and 31’ and then set the PL record as the first player ever to score 4 1H goals in a match with another at 41’.
Trouble. Man United 0-3 Spurs. Yes, Spurs were good. Yes, they jumped out early with a goal from Johnson at 3’. Yes, they benefited from a very questionable red card. But they were without their top striker Son and this is Manchester United at Old Trafford. Yet it was all Spurs and United are not getting better fast enough for who they are.
Van De Ven. Just ran thru United’s midfield and defenders and dropped a dime to Johnson - 1-0 Spurs.
Captain Fernandes. Take a look at this red card at 42’. Was the boot high? Yes. Was there contact, yes. By the rule, red card. But - this was a “soft” red card. If you look at it in replay there was no intent, contact was minimal. Maybe pick that one up.
2 goals. Liverpool and Spurs each have more goals at Old Trafford than United does. 3 for Liverpool, 3 for Spurs, 2 for United.
Erik ten Hag. It’s just not working. This team is not responding, it’s his players and that another loss at Old Trafford. Right now their best win looks like Fulham and 0-3 losses to Liverpool and Spurs at home is not anywhere near good enough. Add to that the Draw in the Europa League to a side no one has heard of and it seems ten Hag is on his last leg at United. If United knew who they wanted to lead them into the future they would meake the move now, but they don’t. So they will stick with ten Hag until they figure it out.
Wins & Losses.
City and Arsenal have yet to lose.
Ipswich, Leicester, Palace, Southampton and Wolves have yet to win.
Sieve. Sieve. Sieve.
City have scored 14 goals, second most in the league, but they have just 1 CS on the season (MW1 at Chelsea). Not unusual, but for the title older it’s not enough if you want to win another title, Pep would tell you the same thing.
Gunners started the season allowing 1 goal in 4 matches. They have now allowed 4 goals in their last 2.
36 to 5.
Arsenal 4-2 LCFC. Arsenal DOMINATED the 1H against the Foxes and led 2-0 at HT, could’be been A LOT more. Yet, the Foxes scored twice in teh 2H on GREAT goals. What looked like a great draw for LCFC turned into a loss allowing goals at 90+4’ and 90+9’.
Arsenal outshot Leicester City 36-5 yet needed a goal at 90+4’ to break a 2-2 tie. That mean’s lots of saves for LCFC, and some GREAT ones! Check out Mads Hermansen for the Foxes keeping them in it at the Emirates.
1 in 34.
Newcastle has 1 win in 34 matches all time against Man City in the top level of English Soccer.
3 in a Row.
Brentford have scored in the opening minute of a match for the third match in a row. They have 0W 1D 2L in those matches. This week a 1-1 draw to West Ham. Here was this weeks 1’ goal by Mbeumo.
0-5-15.
Ben Brereton Diaz has played in 20 PL games and has not won. 0W 5D 15L.
3 10 to Yuma. If you’ve been to games in England you know the trains can be a little dicey. When they are running and you have the time, they are great. But after matches, at a minimum, you can expect hour(s) of walking, lines and transfers. That’s what makes this announcement near the end of Bournemouth - Southampton too funny. Watch this SOUND ON.
Speaking of Lines. Here is Everton’s new stadium for next season - Bramley Moor Stadium. Ummmm, looks like A LOT of lines incoming.

Current Situation 📈📉
FULHAM sit TOP 6!
City no longer in first as Villa had a chance to sit top as well but couldn’t get it done at Portman Road in Ipswich. Here’s the goal by Delap to pull the Tractor Boys even with Villa.
Liverpool has allowed just TWO goals through 6 matches, next best, 5.
Arsenal and City are the only sides yet to lose.
Everton jump to 16th with their first win of the season.
Ipswich have 4 straight Draws, have yet to win but sit 15th.
Man United sit 13th, behind Brentford and Bournemouth who’s stadiums added together would not be close to capacity at Old Trafford. United fans will not put up with these results much longer.
Palace, Southampton and Wolves sit in Relegation - but just 1 win could move them to 15th.
