• CS Match of the Week. Forest 0-1 Everton. While the mid-week news came in that Forest could finish 5th and make the Champions League next season, they still need points, so this loss at home is going to sting for a bit.

  • Doesn’t matter the sport, Turnovers are costly. Forest took a corner, and Everton turned it into a breakaway at 90+4’ as Doucoure finished and stole all three points. Watch

  • David Moyes - Everton was 1 point above relegation when they hired David Moyes 14 matches ago. Since then, Moyes, who had coached at Everton over 11 years ago, has lost just 1 match in his last 12.

• Mid-Week. Newcastle v Palace WED 2pm cst. This match was rescheduled when Newcastle played in the EFL Cup Championship. Nice to have this game in hand for Newcastle, and at home, but it will not be a layup.

• MO Liverpool. Mo Salah singed a new 2-year contract and will be staying at Liverpool to run it back and seems like Virgil van Dijk will be signing a new 2-year contract as well.

• Speaking of Liverpool. Looked like they were going to drop points, until they weren’t. Watch

• The Double. Newcastle United-Manchester United. For the first time since 1930/31 Newcastle beat Man United twice in a season.

• Liverpool and Arsenal will be in the CL next season. That leaves Forest, Newcastle, City, Chelsea and Villa fighting it out for 3 spots.

  • All 5 clubs are within 3 points. Villa will not win any goal differential tie breakers but the other 4 are all tight. Here are the remaining schedules for those 5 teams.

  • Forest and City have the “easier” schedule based on the current table.

  • Newcastle has a game in hand.

  • Chelsea has the “toughest” schedule.

  • Villa is the only side playing in Europe yet, hosting PSG Tuesday.

• Bournemouth, FFC and BHA are fighting for 8th, which could get a Europe spot if things break the right way in the tournaments.

• Spurs. The lowest finish for Spurs, ever in the PL is 15th. They currently sit 14th. There are 2 teams below them just 2 points behind. Spurs have work to do.

• Positioning. Putting a streak together could still move several teams up the table meaning more money for the club.

• Southampton. Can they get 2 points in the final 6 matches to avoid becoming the PL team with the fewest points ever? They may need to do it in the next 3 matches as a road trip to West Ham, home to FFC and back on the road to LCFC are much better chances than City, Everton and Arsenal to finish out the season.
