CS Match of the Week. Forest +110 v Everton +270 SAT 9a - Forest have not played in Europe in 45 years (1980-81 season). The stumble they took at Villa last week only cost them a point in the standings as both Chelsea and City drew their matches. Everton have lost just 1 match in 11. Forest need all three points at home and Everton will be tough to score on. Will need the great support of the home fans to pull them through.
5.4.1 Week. 5 Saturday, 3 Sunday, 1 Monday.
5 PL Team to CL in 2026. The PL is leading Europe in performance this season meaning the league will get a 5th Champions League spot. That also means the Europa League will get the 6th place team and the UEFA Conference League will get the 7th place team.
Great news the League and for the teams currently sitting 3-11 in the table as a winning streak to the finish could move any of them into the top 7.
If Villa were to win the Champions League, it could mean a 6th team moves into the spot as Villa would qualify with the win.
This is a nice bounce back from last season when the PL fell below the top 2 spots that got extra European spots - Italy and Germany got the spots.
Coefficients - Think of this like KenPom in NCAA basketball. Teams get points for beating other team etc. and when you total up all those points and run them through some equations you get a Leagues Coefficient. All the top leagues across Europe are then ranked and decisions are made as to how many spots that League gets in next year’s European competitions. Here’s more detail - UEFA uses coefficients/algorithms.
What 2 Look 4 👀- Match Week 32
Eagle Opportunities 🦅🦅🦅
Big 3 points waiting for these big favorites.
BHA -360 v Leicester City +1000 SAT 9a - BHA need to get their ship righted as the announcement of an extra Europe position and a home match to the Foxes give them great motivation.
Chelsea -319 v Ipswich Town +750 SUN 8a - The Blues need to maintain focus as the Tractor Boys have been playing better. Stamford Bridge should help.
Liverpool -319 v West Ham +800 SUN 8a - Terrible 1H last week cost Liverpool points but fortunately they’ve created a cushion. Expect the Red’s to take out some frustration.
Birdie Opportunities 🦜🦜
Each of these favorites would expect to birdie these matches. Par would be a disappointment.
Man City -200 v Palace +500 SAT 630a - City seem to be playing on fumes this season and motivation is lacking. Palace are doing what they did last season, finish strong, losing just 3 times in their last 22 after a very slow start. Europe is still in play.
Arsenal -190 v Brentford +750 SAT 1130a - LONDON DERBY (North v West) - Can the Gunner’s stay motivated after an emotional win over Real Madrid mid-week? The Bee’s have not been scoring like they did earlier in the year and will be looking to keep this close and try to take points.
Southampton +450 v Aston Villa -180 SAT 9a - Southampton are on a new interim manager and often there is a bounce. Villa are coming off a tough 1-3 match at PSG mid week and will be looking ahead to the rematch at Villa Park. They will need to keep their focus against this Championship side.
Wolves +130 v Tottenham +200 SUN 8a - Wolves big win over Ipswich last week may take the pressure off and this could turn into a track meet.
Newcastle -140 v Man United +360 SUN 1030a - Newcastle have won 4 of their last 5 and put themselves in a great spot for the run at Europe. United are focused on trying to win the Europa League and will be looking ahead to next Thursday at Old Trafford. Will be a tough road trip North.
Par Shooters ⛳
Get your par, get out.
Bournemouth -TBD v Fulham +TBD MON 2p - The Cherries are struggling with just 2 points in their last 6. FFC had their biggest win of the season last week knocking off Liverpool but it’s always tough heading to Bournemouth and the cozy Vitality Stadium.
