Headlines 📌

  • CS Match of the Week. Forest +400 v Liverpool -155 TUE 2p - REMATCH - The Reds travel to The City Ground to take on the only team to have beaten them in 19 matches this season, and the go in significant favorites against the Trees who sit third in the table. Forest are on the longest winning streak of the season of any PL team, 6. None of those 6 matches were against sides in the top 7.

  • 4.4.2 MID-Week. 4 Tuesday, 4 Wednesday, 2 Thursday.

National League - Level 5

  • FA CUP. Check out the Hot Topic🔥🔥🔥 Section for the full FA Cup PL results. Here are a couple things that stood out.

    • Spurs traveled to FIFTH LEVEL Tamworth and their pitch - The Lamb Ground. One of the best things about English Soccer is the FA Cup - the ALL ENGALND tournament of the top 9 leagues. Best way to think about this - In NCAA basketball this is the equivalent of the Kansas Jayhawks travelling to University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

    • Here’s the welcome from the home fans “Who are ya?, You’re just a shit Ollie Watkins”.

    • New Rules. Up through last season if a match were tied at the end of 90’ a second match would be played at the home of the current away team. This year matches tied at 90’ go into 30’ of extra time and then a penalty shootout.

    • OVER Half the Revenue. These rules cost Tamworth over $1M. At 90’ they were tied with Spurs 0-0 which would’ve resulted in a trip to Hotspur Stadium and a portion of the gate - roughly $1.2M. Tamworth’s TOTAL yearly revenue is $2M.

    • Great shot of the “locker-room”.

    • Tom Tonks - longest throw-in taker in English Soccer?

Tamworth Player earned Man of the Match against Spurs.

What 2 Look 4 👀- Match Week 21

New Manager Bounce ⛹️‍♂️⛹️‍♂️

  • West Ham +190 v Fulham +135 TUE 130p - LONDON DERBY - FFC have not lost in TEN straight London Derby’s while the Hammer’s have not won their last 5 London Derby’s. Will the Hammer’s managerial change give a boost to a side with talent on paper but no identity.

  • Everton +220 v Aston Villa +135 WED 130p - David Moyes takes over at Goodison Park against a Villa side who have won their last 3 at Everton, without allowing a goal.

Home Fav’s 🏠🏠🏠🏠

  • Man United -340 v Southampton +900 THUR 2p - Just what United need, a team really struggling coming into Old Trafford. A mid-week PK shootout win at Arsenal in the FA Cup brings momentum. Now can they take advantage of the situation and get all three points. The Saint’s did win mid-week in the FA Cup, but that was not PL competition.

  • Newcastle -280 v Wolves +700 WED 130p - Newcastle have won 8 matches across all competitions and they welcome a Wolves side who seem to have new energy with manager Vitor Pereira.

  • Arsenal -250 v Tottenham +600 WED 2p - NORTH LONDON DERBY - The Gunner’s have been playing “ok” but seemingly below expectations and just not getting the points out of matches. Spurs on the other had have either played GREAT or POORLY, and poorly seems to be more of late.

  • Chelsea -180 v Bournemouth +425 TUE 130p - Winless in their last 4 the Blues are looking to get back on track at Stamford Bridge against the Cherries who have not lost in their last 8.

Road Fav’s 🛣️🛣️🛣️🛣️

  • Forest +400 v Liverpool -155 TUE 2p - See Above.

  • Brentford +360 v Man City -155 TUE 130p - Bee’s home field, which was sooooo good for most of the season has stumbled losing their last two. Add to that being knocked out of the FA Cup by Plymouth Argyle and the Bee’s aren’t buzzing. City seemed to have found their footing but still have been allowing goals.

  • Leicester City +280 v Palace -110 WED 130p - Palace have righted the ship while the Foxes have taken a step back. Leicester have given up 2+ goals in 5 of their last 6 while Palace have not lost in their last five away matches.

  • Ipswich Town +270 v BHA -110 SUN 8a - The Seagull head to Tractor Boys really scuffling for quite a while. They still sit 10th in the table but that is a result of their fast start, since then they are well below a top 10 team. Tractor Boys have looked pretty good, relatively and are threatening to get out of relegation.

FA Cup Results - Round 3

The FA Cup is getting to the interesting part of the tournament, when teams from lower leagues get their shot at the big boys, and we’ve already seen some big upsets. The EPL teams have some decisions to make - do you sit your top players and give them a break from the grind, how about playing your young up and coming players? But, careful with those decisions, you don’t want to be knocked out of the tournament that many in England believe is more important than winning the EPL.

Here are the latest results of the PL sides - Sorted by what LEAGUE LEVEL they played and the position of the team in that league.

Premier League v Premier League

  • Aston Villa 2-1 West Ham in Birmingham, West Ham is out.

  • Arsenal 1-1 Man United at The Emirates, United ADVANCE on Penalties (5-3). United went down to 10 men at 61’ and Arsenal immediately took advantage evening the game at 1 at 63’. United hung in the rest of the 2H and held on through 30’ of extra time to make penalty kicks. It’s the third time in four years Arsenal have been knocked out of the FA Cup in the third round.

Match Week 21 - Happy New Year

These matches are too close to not grab some big “+” lines.

Leicester City to Win v Palace +280. $20

While Palace have lost just 1 in 9, they’ve only won 3. It’s time for new manager Ruud van Nistelrooy to get his first win at King Power.

Man United to Win x-0 v Southampton where x=1,2,3 +146. $20

If ten Hag were still in charge, I wouldn’t trust United, but Amorim seems to be building something and will lock it down.

Man City v Brentford O3.5 goals -103. $103

City is starting to score again, Brentford scores at home. Gtech still sees 5 goals per match and I see that continuing.

Everton to Win v Villa +220. $20

In Moyes we trust for the new manager bounce home to a side that should be favored but seem to struggle on and off.

West Ham to Win v Fulham +190. $20

New manager bounce from Potter as the Hammer’s apply their talent at the expense of a solid FFC side.

Bournemouth to Win at Chelsea +425. $20

Maresca seems to have an issue with keeping his side rolling mid season. Did the same thing last year with Leicester. Do I think Chelsea will lose at Stamford Bridge? No. But willing to bet it with a +425 payout.

Longshots of the week - couple big swings couple little swings

West Ham ,Everton to Win +773. $10

Newcastle, Man United, Ipswich Town to Win +541. $10

Brentford, Bournemouth to Win +2105. $5

Forest, Leicester City to Win +1738. $5
